This morning during your guided walking tour of Sydney's historic "The Rocks" area, you will enjoy views of the harbour and see historic buildings and sandstone stairs whilst wandering through the many alleyways. Your guide will tell you the story of the settlement of New South Wales. This afternoon we take a city tour past the Opera House, Botanical Gardens and the southern beaches including Bondi.
Take a cruise on Sydney Harbour today, including stops at the Rocks, Opera House, Watson's Bay and Taronga Zoo. Your ticket is flexible enabling you to take any of the 8 daily departures, spending as long as you wish at each stop before rejoining the cruise. Entrance to the Taronga Zoo is included, where you can see many native animals including kangaroos, koalas and the adorable platypus.
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Adelaide. On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel.
Depart Adelaide by air. On arrival, meet your guide. A highlight today is a guided beach walk at Seal Bay, home to a colony of Australia sea lions. See them as they bask on the beach. Enjoy a gourmet-style lunch, followed by a bushwalk, where have the opportunity to spot the local birdlife and listen to their unique calls.
Discover the wonders of Flinders Chase National Park. Later, explore the Rocky River region to see yet more wildlife. At Hanson Bay Sanctuary, search for koalas. Return to Adelaide by air and transfer to your hotel.
Enjoy a full day tour to the Barossa Valley Wine Region. Originally settled by Germans, the little towns are still a picturesque part of Australia's largest wine growing area.
Transfer to the airport for the flight to Cairns, Gateway to the Great Barrier Reef (airfare not included), and transfer to your accommodation.
Travel on Quicksilver's magnificent wavepiercing catamaran to the very outer edge of the Great Barrier Reef. You can choose whether to dive, snorkel or view the abundant sea life from the underwater observatory, or semi-submersible submarine. A delicious smorgasboard lunch is included.
