After your arrival in Chiang Mai, you will be transferred to you hotel. It is a city with a distinct beauty and cultural heritage of its own, with its numerous ancient temples and buildings. Check in at hotel and relax – ay at leisure to explore. Option of half day tour of Old Chiang Mai and Lanna Temples. Overnight stay at the hotel.

After breakfast, proceed to Mae Sa Valley located in the Northwest of Chiang Mai, a popular local beauty spot. Drive through the forest to Mae Sa Elephant Camp, where there is a daily hour-long show of pachyderm skills. Elephants have always been highly regarded by the Thai and at one time featured on the national flag. In mountainous Northern Thailand, even well into the 20th century they were once the best mode of transport to negotiate the jungles into remote territories. Optionally, you can take an elephant ride at any time of day. Continue to the Mae Sa Falls before visiting an Orchid Farm. Thailand is renowned for the beauty and variety of its orchids, around 1300 different species in all. There had been an export market in wild orchids since the 1950's, but collection from the wild is now banned as habitat and numbers decline. Some species still attract big sums of money from wealthy enthusiasts. Overnight stay at the hotel.

After breakfast, set off on an excursion of a full day trip to Chiang Rai and into Golden Triangle country that includes visits to the Golden Triangle, Chiang Saen and Chiang Rai, local lunch.

After breakfast, Check out and will be transferred to the airport for your return flight to Bangkok / point in Thailand.
