Swiss Travel System

The Swiss Travel System is the brand name for the entire range of Swiss public transport services available to foreign visitors. All trains, Postbuses and ships on lakes and rivers – and even the buses and trams in urban areas – are part of the Swiss Travel System.

A selection of all-in-one tickets, exclusively for our visitors, gives access to all these services. The Swiss Pass enables visitors to travel free of charge on the Swiss Travel System’s entire network for periods ranging from four days to one month. Just imagine – unrestricted travel from the airport railway station to right up into the mountains and back again! Theres is also selection of other tickets for visitors with different requirements.

Swiss Pass

The Swiss Pass entitles you to unlimited travel on consecutive days throughout the rail, bus and boat Swiss Travel System network. The Swiss Pass is available for 4, 8, 15 or 22 days or one month.

The Swiss Flexi Pass allows travelers to freely choose their traveling days. You may travel on the Swiss Travel System network for 3, 4, 5 or 6 non-consecutive days within a month; on the selected days, you are offered the same great possibilities as when traveling with a Swiss Pass .

The Swiss Family Card

The Swiss Family Card is just for families traveling together. And Switzerland is indeed an ideal place to take your family. The Swiss Family Card allows children under 16 to travel free when accompanied by a parent holding a valid Swiss Travel System ticket (Swiss Pass, Swiss FlexiPass, Swiss Youthpass, Swiss Saverpass, Swiss Saver FlexiPass, Swiss Transfer Ticket and Swiss Card). Probably the best part of all about the Swiss Family Card is that it is free!

Swiss Card

The Swiss Card is ideal if you are spending your holidays in one specific region.

>> Includes a round trip (two transfers) between any Swiss airport or border station and any destination in Switzerland.

>> You’ll also receive a 50% discount on all Swiss railways, lake steamers, postal buses and on excursions to most mountain tops.

>> 50% discount with Swiss Card on Cable cars and Mountain trains not included in the Swiss travel System range of passes.

>> Valid for 1 month.

Swiss Transfer Ticket

The Swiss Transfer Ticket is a return ticket from the Swiss border or one of Switzerland’s airports to your destination.

The Swiss Transfer Ticket is ideal for those spending holidays in one location.

The Transfer Ticket cannot be purchased in Switzerland.

The ticket is valid on the most direct route and cannot be used on Glacier Express Line.

Each trip has to be completed on the same day, stopovers are possible during the journey.

FlyRail Baggage

From any airport around the world, your baggage travels directly to your railway station in Switzerland via Zurich or Geneva Airport. No matter which airline you fly. This means you arrive at the airport and your baggage is automatically forwarded to your destination station. This way, you don’t lose any time waiting for your suitcase.

The baggage (max. 32 kg per item) may not contain any goods received or purchased abroad (including duty-free quantities). Bulky items such as bicycles, surfboards, etc. cannot be transported.

Child Policy

Children up to 5 included: free if no reservation is required.

Unlimited number of children from 6 up to 15 included: free if holding a Swiss Family Card.

Children from 6 up to 15 included who are not members of the family still qualify for a 50% reduction (this child reduction is not available for Swiss Card) on Swiss Pass, Swiss Flexi Pass and Swiss Transfer Ticket.
